I'd never seen photos of the towers burning from anywhere but the area of Manhattan. Living in Westchester I'd always wanted to see what it looked like that day from there. The towers were very visible from my grandmother's house in Yonkers. Unfortunately that day I was stuck in Long Island at work and couldn't leave since the bridges were closed. Thanks for the pictures- they'll leave a lasting impression.

I am sad and frustrated that I could not be there to help rescue my fellow New Yorkers. My heart will forever be full of love and respect for the heroic firemen, policemen and dedicated New Yorkers who contributed to the saving of so many lives. My prayers willl always be held to the lips of the sky so that my fellow New Yorkers will know I cared. I lived only two blocks from WTC and by grace of God, I moved to California years ago. Today is may 1st 2006 and I still cannot forget the people who perished on that awful day. I feel like every single soul that was taken that day has touched my own soul personally. I feel for all their family members to this day. I wish that I could take away all of there pain. I will NEVER forget what happened to all those people until the the day I die. I will never feel any kind of relief until the people who did this are brought to justice!
